# jdx kotlin

IDE equivalent: Fetch the Kotlin PSI sidecar (Kotlin sources)

Manage the Kotlin PSI sidecar: install the side-loaded compiler set so body/source/doc can serve Kotlin sources. Without it, Kotlin binaries still render via @Metadata and .kt queries degrade.

## Usage

jdx kotlin [<options>] <command> [<args>]...
```

## Subcommands

### `jdx kotlin install`

Download and verify the Kotlin PSI sidecar set (kotlin-compiler-embeddable plus its runtime jars, at pinned versions with SHA-1 verification) into <cache-dir>/kotlin. Jars already present are skipped without network; re-run resumes after a failure. Exits 5 when a download, checksum or write fails.

| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| `--repo=<text>` | Maven repository base URL to fetch from (repeatable, e.g. --repo https://repo.example.com/maven2). Tried in flag order before Maven Central, which stays last as the fallback. Must be an http(s) URL. |
| `--force` | Re-download every jar even when present (repairs a corrupt sidecar that probes as installed but fails to initialise). |
| `--json` | Emit machine-readable JSON instead of human-readable text (same information, D-007). |
| `-h, --help` | Show this message and exit |
